CCSP training and courses
Training is not a requirement for the CCSP — ISC2’s gate is five years of experience, not coursework. But if you want structured preparation, ISC2 offers official CCSP training in three formats. This page sets out what each one includes, how training-and-exam bundles work, and what to check before you book any CCSP course.

Do you need CCSP training?
No. ISC2’s CCSP requirements are about experience: five years of cumulative, full-time IT experience, three of them in cybersecurity and one in a CCSP domain. Training does not count towards that and is not required to sit the exam.
What CCSP certification training can do is give you structure across six domains and an instructor to ask. Whether that is worth paying for depends on how you learn and how much of the exam outline is already familiar from your work.

ISC2 CCSP training: the three official formats
ISC2 lists three ways to take its official CCSP training, and states that the official courseware is developed by ISC2, the creator of the exam outline:
- CCSP Online Self-Paced Training — on demand, learn at your own pace.
- CCSP Online Instructor-Led Training — live online, with full-time and part-time schedules and an ISC2 Authorized Instructor.
- CCSP Classroom Training — a traditional, in-person setting with an ISC2 Authorized Instructor.

CCSP online training, self-paced
The self-paced CCSP online course gives you 90- or 180-day access, starting on the date of purchase, with same-day access to the materials. ISC2 lists interactive content, pre- and post-course assessments, knowledge checks and end-of-domain quizzes, online flash cards, and an Official ISC2 CCSP Study Questions eBook.
ISC2 states that its official online training qualifies for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, reported automatically for members. The page shows no price, but lists a 20% discount for members.

Live CCSP training online with an instructor
If you want CCSP training online but with a live instructor, ISC2’s Online Instructor-Led course comes in two rhythms. Full-time sessions run over five days; part-time sessions run over eight weeks, with two evening sessions a week of two and a half hours each, in several time zones.
ISC2 describes the instructor as an ISC2 Authorized Instructor who is CCSP-certified. Course materials and videos come with 180-day access from your first live session and are available up to a week before it starts.

Training plus exam: how the bundles work
Both online CCSP courses are sold on their own or bundled with the exam. With a training-plus-exam bundle you get one attempt and 365 days from purchase to sit it. With Peace of Mind Protection you get two attempts, to be taken within 180 days of purchase.
ISC2 also describes an education guarantee for its official training: if you do not pass on your first attempt, you may access the same training again at no cost within one year from the end of the initial training. Read the current terms when you book, as ISC2 sets the conditions.

Judging a CCSP bootcamp or training course
A CCSP bootcamp usually means an intensive, compressed course — in ISC2’s own catalogue, the closest match is the five-day full-time live online class. Whoever runs a CCSP training course, the same questions sort the useful from the expensive:
- Is it built on the exam outline in force from 1 August 2026, with the six domains as ISC2 names them?
- Is the instructor CCSP-certified? ISC2’s own courses use ISC2 Authorized Instructors.
- How long can you access the materials after the live sessions end?
- Is the exam included, how many attempts, and within what window?
- Does it offer questions with explanations per domain, so you can see where you are weak?

Other CCSPs: customer service and cargo screening
The letters CCSP are shared by unrelated programmes, so a few searches land here by mistake. The Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP) is a TSA air-cargo security programme in the United States, not an IT credential. And if you were looking for a certified customer service professional (CCSP) free course, that is a customer-service qualification with nothing in common with ISC2’s exam.
