Cisco DevNet Professional certification: now CCNP Automation
Cisco renamed the DevNet Professional certification to CCNP Automation on 3 February 2026, and active DevNet Professional holders were automatically recognised as CCNP Automation certified. To earn it today you pass the 350-901 AUTOCOR core exam (120 minutes, US$400) and one concentration exam (90 minutes, US$300). There are no formal prerequisites, and the certification is valid for three years. Cisco does not publish a question count or passing score.

What happened to the Cisco DevNet Professional certification?
The Cisco Certified DevNet Professional no longer exists under that name. Cisco announced in May 2025 that on 3 February 2026 the DevNet certification track would be rebranded as CCNA, CCNP and CCIE Automation, and that these certifications would replace the DevNet track. DevNet Professional became CCNP Automation.
If you already held an active DevNet Professional cert on that date, you did not have to do anything: Cisco stated that active DevNet Associate, Professional and Expert holders would automatically be recognised as CCNA, CCNP or CCIE Automation certified, respectively. Cisco’s old DevNet Professional web address now opens the CCNP Automation page.
It was more than a new label. Cisco’s own insider post said the DevNet Professional “needed more than a name change”: the old DEVCOR core exam could be taken until 2 February 2026, and the core exam is now 350-901 AUTOCOR v2.0, with a dedicated AI in Automation domain.

What is CCNP Automation?
Cisco describes CCNP Automation as the certification to “showcase your ability to develop and maintain applications built on Cisco platforms”. It combines software skills — Python, APIs, infrastructure as code, CI/CD — with network infrastructure knowledge, and Cisco aims it at NetDevOps roles.
The structure follows every CCNP: one core exam plus one concentration exam of your choice. Each passed exam also earns a Cisco Certified Specialist certification, so the AUTOCOR core exam on its own makes you a Cisco Certified Specialist – Automation Core even before you finish the concentration.

How much does the CCNP Automation exam cost?
Cisco lists the 350-901 AUTOCOR core exam at US$400 and each concentration exam at US$300. Both can alternatively be paid with Cisco Learning Credits. The full certification therefore costs US$700 in exam fees if you pass each exam on the first attempt.
Training is a separate cost and is not required. Cisco states that studying with Cisco for your exam is not required, but recommended.

Which exams do you need for CCNP Automation?
You pass the core exam and one concentration. Cisco’s exams page lists the following, all in English and Japanese:
- 350-901 AUTOCOR: Designing, Deploying and Managing Network Automation Systems — core, 120 minutes, US$400
- 300-435 ENAUTO: Automating and Programming Cisco Enterprise Solutions — concentration, 90 minutes, US$300
- 300-635 DCNAUTO: Automating Cisco Data Center Networking Solutions — concentration, 90 minutes, US$300

What is on the 350-901 AUTOCOR exam?
Cisco’s AUTOCOR v2.0 exam topics describe a 120-minute exam associated with both the CCNP and the CCIE Automation certification. It certifies knowledge of network automation systems development and design, split into four weighted domains:
- Network Automation — 30%
- Infrastructure as Code — 30%
- Operations — 20%
- AI in Automation — 20%

CCNP Automation passing score and question count
Cisco does not publish a passing score or a fixed number of questions for AUTOCOR, ENAUTO or DCNAUTO. The exam pages give only the duration, the price and the languages. Any percentage you see quoted elsewhere does not come from Cisco.
Without a published cut score, the safer target is even competence across all four AUTOCOR domains: a domain worth 30% of the exam is too large to leave weak when you do not know how close to the line it puts you.

DevNet Professional prerequisites and recommended experience
There are no formal prerequisites. Cisco lists none for AUTOCOR, ENAUTO or DCNAUTO, and you do not need CCNA Automation first.
Cisco’s AUTOCOR course does name the skills it expects you to bring: hands-on Python, familiarity with common network designs, API usage, NETCONF and RESTCONF, Git with GitLab or GitHub, the Linux shell, Docker, and basic knowledge of AI and large language models.

Official CCNP Automation course and study materials
The authoritative scope is Cisco’s exam topics document for each exam; for the core, that is the 350-901 AUTOCOR v2.0 blueprint above. Study from that list rather than from older DEVCOR material, which predates the AI in Automation domain.
Cisco offers the official course Designing, Deploying and Managing Network Automation Systems (AUTOCOR) as a Cisco U. learning path or as instructor-led training, in person or virtual. Cisco states that it prepares you for the 350-901 exam and earns 32 CE credits towards recertification, and that it has no prerequisites. Cisco U. also offers practice tests and hands-on labs.

How long is CCNP Automation valid?
Cisco states that the certification is valid for three years. You renew either with Continuing Education credits or by retaking exams before the expiry date. For professional-level certifications, Cisco’s recertification policy requires 80 CE credits, and Cisco notes that each CCNP Automation exam can be used toward recertification.
For former DevNet Professional holders, the automatic recognition carried the certification over; the three-year clock and the recertification options are the ones Cisco now publishes for CCNP Automation.

DevNet Professional salary
Cisco does not publish salary data for DevNet Professional or CCNP Automation holders, so this page quotes no salary figure. What Cisco does publish is the target role: NetDevOps work that combines software development with network operations.
DevNet Professional practice questions and dumps
Certsqill’s DevNet Professional practice questions are expert-developed and follow the AUTOCOR blueprint. Every question comes with an explanation for each answer option, so you learn why the wrong choices are wrong as well as why the right one is right, and your readiness score is shown per domain — Network Automation, Infrastructure as Code, Operations and AI in Automation — so you can see which part still needs study. Certsqill offers a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Brain dumps are not a shortcut. Cisco explains that a brain dump is when someone who has taken the exam passes on its specific content, that this is covered by the Cisco Candidate NDA, and that Cisco has invalidated certifications and issued lifetime bans to people who accessed such material.
