Cisco CyberOps Associate certification (200-201): format, domains, cost

What is the Cisco CyberOps Associate certification?
The CyberOps Associate certification is Cisco’s credential for people who work in a security operations centre — the analyst seat, not the network-engineering one. It is earned with a single exam, 200-201, and Cisco states no prerequisites.
If the naming looks inconsistent wherever you read about it, that is because it changed — twice. Older material calls it CCNA CyberOps. Cisco’s own exam page now calls the exam Understanding Cisco Cybersecurity Operations Fundamentals (200-201 CCNACBR) v1.2, and lists the certification it earns as CCNA Cybersecurity. The blueprint document adds that the certification name moves to Cybersecurity Associate. Same exam number throughout — 200-201 is the identifier that has not moved.

What is on the 200-201 exam?
Cisco publishes five domains with weightings. Security Monitoring is the largest at 25 per cent, followed by Security Concepts, Host-Based Analysis and Network Intrusion Analysis at 20 per cent each, and Security Policies and Procedures at 15 per cent.
That distribution is the honest study plan: three quarters of the exam is monitoring, host analysis and intrusion analysis — the work of reading telemetry and deciding what it means. Policies and procedures is the smallest slice.
The current blueprint is v1.2, with changes Cisco made effective 21 January 2025. Material written against an older blueprint predates that revision.

How long is the exam, and what does it cost?
Cisco states 120 minutes and a price of US$300, payable directly or with Cisco Learning Credits.
What Cisco does not state on that page is how many questions you face in those two hours, or the score you need. Both are common in Cisco exams — the cut score varies and Cisco treats it as confidential — so any specific figure you find quoted elsewhere is someone’s estimate, not a Cisco statement. We would rather tell you that than repeat a number we cannot cite.
Cisco also sells training for this certification under its own learning programme; the exam fee above is separate from any course.

CyberOps Associate practice questions
Certsqill’s CyberOps Associate practice questions carry an explanation for every option, weighted the way Cisco weights the exam: monitoring and analysis first, policy last.

CyberOps Associate final exam vs the 200-201 certification exam
Cisco Networking Academy runs a course called CyberOps Associate, described as learning to monitor, detect and respond to cyber threats and security incidents. Searches for the “CyberOps Associate 1.0 final exam” or simply the CyberOps Associate final exam usually come from learners in that course: the final exam there is a course assessment, set within the Networking Academy course.
It is not the certification. To earn the Cisco CyberOps certification you still book and pass the proctored 200-201 exam (now listed as CCNACBR v1.2) through Cisco’s exam process. Passing the course final shows you completed the course; it does not award the credential.

About the CyberOps Associate 1.0 practice final exam answers
The CyberOps Associate 1.0 practice final exam exists to show you where your gaps are before the graded final. Lists of CyberOps Associate 1.0 practice final exam answers defeat that purpose: you learn which letter to click, not why, and the 200-201 certification exam will not ask the same questions in the same words.
A better use of the practice final: take it honestly, note every topic you missed, and map those topics to the five 200-201 domains — security monitoring, security concepts, host-based analysis, network intrusion analysis, and security policies and procedures. That list is your study plan for the certification exam.
Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate training options
Cisco’s routes into Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate training are the Networking Academy course above and Cisco’s own learning programme, where training is sold separately from the US$300 exam. Whatever route you take, check it against the current 200-201 CBROPS v1.2 exam topics — the blueprint changed in January 2025, and courses built on older versions may miss newer content.
Because three quarters of the exam is about monitoring and analysis, look for training that includes hands-on work with logs, packet captures and alerts, not just slides about attack types.

200-201 dumps and Cisco’s exam policy
200-201 dumps claim to contain live exam questions. Cisco’s policies state that exam content is Cisco’s confidential property, that disclosure of exam content is strictly prohibited, and that penalties can include a lifetime ban on all future exams and the nullification of all previous certifications.
Dumps also cannot show whether their answers are correct or current — and for an analyst exam, memorised answers leave you unprepared for the work itself.

Is the Cisco CyberOps certification worth it?
It is worth it if you are aiming for a security operations centre role: the domains map directly onto analyst work, and Cisco lists no prerequisites, so it is reachable early in a career. If your path is network engineering, CCNA is the closer fit; if you need a vendor-neutral security baseline, other certifications may suit you better.
Cisco publishes no salary or pass-rate data for this certification, and we do not quote unofficial figures.
