What is the JNCIA-Cloud certification?
Juniper lists JNCIA-Cloud as Cloud, Associate. It is the associate-level certification in the Cloud track of the HPE Juniper Networking Certification Program (JNCP), and Juniper describes it as designed for networking professionals with introductory-level knowledge.
According to Juniper, the written exam verifies your understanding of cloud-based networking principles and technologies. In practice that means the plumbing underneath private and hybrid clouds: virtual networks, overlays and tunnels, hypervisors and containers, and the three orchestration platforms the exam names — OpenStack, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
Unlike most Juniper associate exams, JNCIA-Cloud is not about Junos OS configuration. The software versions Juniper lists for the exam are Contrail 22.4, OpenStack Zed, Kubernetes 1.24 and OpenShift 4.10.

JNCIA-Cloud exam format (JN0-214)
The JN0-214 exam consists of 65 multiple-choice questions with a 90-minute time limit, which leaves just under a minute and a half per question. Pearson VUE delivers the exam, and Juniper states that it is only provided in English.
Juniper’s policy page refers to Pearson VUE’s OnVUE online proctored exams as well as Pearson VUE testing centers. Juniper also says that exam questions are derived from the recommended training and the exam resources, so the official material is the safest guide to what will be asked.
If you fail your first attempt you can retake the exam at any time. After a second or later failure, Juniper requires a waiting period of 14 calendar days before the next attempt.

JNCIA-Cloud exam cost and the Open Learning voucher
Juniper does not print a regular JN0-214 price on the certification overview or the program policies page. What it does publish is the Open Learning route: complete the free Open Learning course modules and score 70% or higher on the voucher assessment test, and you receive a voucher worth 75% off the exam.
For associate-level exams, Juniper states that this brings the price to US$50. JNCIA-Cloud is on Juniper’s list of voucher-eligible certifications, next to JNCIA-Junos, JNCIA-SEC, JNCIA-DevOps and others.
Two limits apply. You can take the voucher assessment test only three times to earn the voucher, and an associate voucher is valid for 30 days from issuance — so book the exam soon after you pass the assessment rather than leaving the voucher to expire.

JNCIA-Cloud passing score
HPE Networking does not publish exam passing scores. Juniper’s program policies state that passing scores are set by statistical analysis for each individual test, so any percentage you see quoted elsewhere is not an official figure.
The official practice exam is set to a 70% pass mark, but Juniper adds that this is not necessarily the passing score of the live exam. Treat 70% on the practice test as a floor for readiness, not as a target that guarantees a pass.

What is on the JNCIA-Cloud exam?
Juniper publishes seven exam objectives for JN0-214, without weightings. Two of them are general cloud and virtualization knowledge; the other five go into specific technologies, including several tunnelling encapsulations and three orchestration platforms. Expect questions on how things work rather than vendor marketing terms.
- Cloud Fundamentals — public, private and hybrid deployment models; SaaS, IaaS and PaaS; cloud-native architectures; cloud automation tools
- Cloud Infrastructure (NFV and SDN) — NFV architecture, orchestration and VNFs; SDN architecture, controller and solutions
- Network Virtualization — virtual network types, underlay and overlay networks, MPLS over GRE, MPLS over UDP, VXLAN, EVPN with VXLAN, GENEVE
- Cloud Virtualization — Linux architecture, type 1 and type 2 hypervisors, KVM/QEMU, creating virtual machines; containers vs virtual machines, creating containers with Docker
- Cloud Orchestration with OpenStack — creating and managing VMs, HEAT templates in YAML, OpenStack UIs, networking plugins, security groups
- Cloud Orchestration with Kubernetes — Pods, ReplicaSets, Deployments, Services, namespaces and CNI plug-ins
- Cloud Orchestration with OpenShift — managing and monitoring workloads, the CLI and web UI, node types and network types

JNCIA-Cloud prerequisites
There are none. Juniper lists no prerequisite certification or training for JNCIA-Cloud, so you can book JN0-214 directly.
The objectives do assume some comfort with Linux and basic networking. Hypervisor types, KVM/QEMU, Docker and YAML-based HEAT templates all appear by name, so a candidate who has never worked on a Linux command line has more ground to cover than one who has.

JNCIA-Cloud study guide: official training and resources
Juniper names one recommended course for this exam: Juniper Networks Cloud Fundamentals. The certification overview also points to official practice exams, exam prep webinars and additional resources, and Open Learning includes a JNCIA-Cloud course as part of the voucher route.
A practical study plan follows the objectives. Start with cloud models and virtualization, then work through the overlay encapsulations until you can explain how VXLAN, GENEVE and MPLS over GRE or UDP differ. Finish with hands-on time in OpenStack, Kubernetes and OpenShift — creating a VM, a Pod and a Deployment teaches more than reading about them.
The official practice exam allows unlimited attempts, but Juniper notes that the questions do not change. Once you have seen them all, a repeated high score says more about memory than about readiness.

JNCIA-Cloud dumps and exam integrity
Juniper’s program policies require candidates to take no action that compromises the integrity or confidentiality of any HPE Networking certification exam or program. Penalties for violating the policy can include revoking exam results and banning candidates from the JNCP.
Brain dumps that claim to reproduce real JN0-214 questions put both your result and your future Juniper certifications at risk, and they teach you nothing about how an overlay network actually behaves. The official practice exam and your own lab work are the reliable alternatives.

How long is JNCIA-Cloud valid and how do you recertify?
Juniper certifications are valid for three years. To keep an associate-level certification, you pass any associate-level exam again, or you move up by passing a specialist-level exam in a track where you hold an active associate certification.
Juniper adds that passing an exam recertifies all of your active associate-level certifications at once, which matters if you hold JNCIA-Cloud alongside another JNCIA.

JNCIA-Cloud vs JNCIA-Junos
The two associate exams look the same on paper: JNCIA-Junos (JN0-106) also has 65 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes and no prerequisites. The content is different. JNCIA-Junos verifies the core functionality of Junos OS — Juniper lists Junos OS 21.2 — with objectives such as user interfaces, configuration basics, routing fundamentals and firewall filters.
JNCIA-Cloud skips device configuration and covers virtualization, overlays and cloud orchestration instead. If your work is in data center or cloud platform teams, JNCIA-Cloud fits better; if you run Juniper routers and switches, JNCIA-Junos is the natural start. Both are on the Open Learning voucher list.

JNCIA-Cloud practice questions
Certsqill’s JNCIA-Cloud practice questions are expert-developed and organised by Juniper’s seven exam objectives, from cloud fundamentals to OpenShift orchestration.
Every question comes with an explanation for each answer option, so you learn why a wrong choice is wrong as well as why the right one is right. Your results build a readiness score per domain, which shows whether network virtualization, Kubernetes or another objective is the one holding you back before you book JN0-214. A 7-day money-back guarantee applies.
