The current exam page does not load publicly, so its price, question count and passing score are not confirmed here; the last format Oracle described in text was 55 questions in 90 minutes with a 65% pass mark (2023).

What is the OCI DevOps Professional certification?
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Professional is one of Oracle’s professional-level OCI certifications. Oracle describes the professional level as validating an advanced understanding of Oracle concepts and skills, and its own summary of this track says it dives deep into OCI DevOps automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, DevSecOps and observability.
Oracle’s training material names developers, DevOps engineers and IT professionals as the audience. In practice this is a cert for people who build and run delivery pipelines on OCI: they push code through the OCI DevOps service, ship containers to OCI Kubernetes Engine, provision environments with Terraform and Resource Manager, and keep secrets and images secure along the way.
Since Oracle’s 2026 update, certification titles no longer carry a calendar year. The credential is now simply called Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Professional, where earlier versions were named “OCI 2024 DevOps Professional” or “OCI 2025 DevOps Professional”.

Which OCI DevOps Professional exam is current?
On Oracle’s certification page, checked on 14 October 2026, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Professional links to the exam 1Z0-1109-26 on Oracle MyLearn. That is the version to book. Earlier versions carried the suffixes -24 and -25.
The 2025 learning path, “Become an OCI DevOps Professional (2025)”, carries the notice that it will be archived on 30 September 2026. If you started preparing on that path, check which content Oracle now maps to the -26 exam before you schedule.
Oracle’s 2026 update also changed access to training: professional-level courses moved to paid access, while foundations courses stay free. Budget for that if you planned to rely on the free learning path.

How much does the OCI DevOps Professional exam cost?
Oracle does not show a price on any page that could be read publicly for this article. The exam page on Oracle MyLearn loads its content by JavaScript, and Oracle’s certification page only links to a page for buying an exam attempt.
What Oracle does state is how the purchase works: you buy an exam attempt, choose a date and schedule the exam on Oracle MyLearn, and you then have six months to take it. Check the price shown at checkout in your region before you buy, and note that the paid professional course is a separate cost from the exam.

OCI DevOps Professional exam format: questions, time and passing score
The last time Oracle described this exam’s format in text was the 2023 announcement: 55 questions, 90 minutes and a pass mark of 65%. The 2025 announcement says the exam “remains unchanged from the previous year”, but it shows the 2024 figures only as an image, so they could not be confirmed.
For the current 1Z0-1109-26 exam, the question count, time limit and passing score sit on the MyLearn exam page, which did not load publicly. Treat the 2023 figures as a historical reference, not as the current rules, and read the exam page before booking.
Oracle states that all its OCI exams are delivered online, so you do not need to visit a test center.

What is on the OCI DevOps Professional exam?
Oracle does not publish a weighted domain list for the current version in text. The clearest public description of the scope is the set of learning objectives on Oracle’s DevOps Professional learning path, which says that after completing it you should be able to:
- Build containerized microservices and deploy them using managed Kubernetes services
- Set up and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Provision, configure and manage infrastructure using code and templates
- Implement DevSecOps practices
- Apply DevOps measurement and instrumentation techniques

The OCI services behind each topic
Oracle’s 2024 learning path names the services behind those objectives. Containers mean OCI Container Registry (OCIR), Container Instances and OCI Kubernetes Engine (OKE). Infrastructure as code means Terraform and OCI Resource Manager. DevSecOps covers IAM, key and secrets management, and container image security. Measurement and instrumentation rely on Monitoring, Logging and Events.
The 2025 course added new content on OCI Registry, Container Instances and DevOps projects, including forking repositories, managing pull requests and code repository insights. Expect questions that ask you to choose the right OCI service for a pipeline step, not just to define DevOps terms.

OCI DevOps Professional prerequisites and recommended experience
Oracle does not list a mandatory prerequisite certification on the pages that could be read publicly. The learning path recommends a basic understanding of DevOps concepts and practices, and says familiarity with version control, infrastructure as code, configuration management and build and release processes will help.
Because this is a professional-level exam, plan for hands-on time in a real OCI tenancy. Oracle’s course includes 17 self-paced lab exercises aligned to its modules, which is a good measure of how practical the content is.

How long is the OCI DevOps Professional certification valid?
Oracle’s Certification Program Guidelines state that Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications are valid for 24 months from the date the credential is earned. Oracle repeated that rule in its 2026 update announcement.
After 24 months you need to earn the credential again to keep it current. Since Oracle now refreshes OCI exams regularly, that usually means passing the version that is current at the time.

OCI DevOps Professional training and study materials
Oracle’s own preparation consists of the DevOps Professional course on Oracle MyLearn, skill checks at the end of each module with explanations, a lab subscription with 17 exercises, and a full-length practice exam. Oracle’s 2025 course described a 50-question practice test that closely resembles the real exam.
Oracle has called its full practice exams and exam prep lessons free. The 2026 update moved professional-level courses to paid access, so check what is still included without a subscription when you sign in.

OCI DevOps Professional vs OCI Developer Professional
Both are professional-level OCI certs and both touch containers and OKE, but the focus differs. DevOps Professional is about the delivery system: CI/CD pipelines in OCI DevOps, infrastructure as code, DevSecOps and monitoring. Developer Professional is about the application: microservices, serverless functions, API Gateway, streaming, queues and events.
If you own the pipeline and the environments, DevOps Professional fits. If you write cloud-native services that run on OCI, Developer Professional is the closer match.
