The SAT registration fee is $68. Outside the U.S. a $43 international fee is added, so the base price there is $111, and some test centers charge $24 more. The SAT registration fee

College Board charges $68 to register for the SAT. That fee covers the test itself, and it includes four free score reports to colleges, universities or scholarship programs if you order them by 9 days after the test date.

The fee schedule College Board publishes for additional fees is valid through June 2027, which covers the 2026-27 testing year.

SAT fees for international test takers

If you test outside the U.S., you pay the $68 registration fee plus a $43 international fee, $111 in total by our addition. Some test centers also charge a $24 test center fee; College Board keeps a list of centers known to charge it.

All other fees, from late registration to score reports, are the same whether you test inside or outside the U.S.

SAT fee waivers

SAT fee waivers are available to low-income 11th- and 12th-grade students in the U.S. or U.S. territories. A fee waiver gives you two free SAT registrations and unlimited score sends to colleges, universities and scholarship programs, and it also waives the cancellation and late registration fees.

You can receive only one set of fee waiver benefits per lifetime, and students testing outside the U.S. and its territories are not eligible.
