What is CSCP certification?
CSCP stands for Certified Supply Chain Professional. It is one of the APICS certifications awarded by ASCM, which is why you will see it called the APICS CSCP certification, the ASCM CSCP certification or, in full, the ASCM Certified Supply Chain Professional CSCP certification — it is the same credential.
So what is a CSCP certification in practice? ASCM describes the programme as covering everything you need to know across the global supply chain, and says the designation shows you can prepare for and overcome disruption and manage risk. Its scope runs from demand and forecasting through sourcing, operations, logistics and relationships to risk and sustainability.
To earn the Certified Supply Chain Professional CSCP certification you pass one exam covering eight modules. There is no multi-part sequence: one exam, one result.

CSCP certification cost
ASCM’s CSCP page prices the preparation and the exam in a way that depends on membership. When we checked, it listed the CSCP Learning System at US$1,900 for non-members and for members without the certification upgrade add-on. A bundle of Learning System, exam and a second-chance exam, with membership, was listed at US$2,565 for members without the certification discount and US$2,664 for non-members, with “restrictions apply”.
The page also has a line for the exam on its own, marked “starting at”, but it showed no clear standalone figure. So for the CSCP exam cost on its own, check the price ASCM shows at checkout for your membership status. The cost of APICS CSCP certification for most candidates is therefore either the bundle, or the Learning System plus the exam.
Two rules affect the APICS CSCP certification cost after you pay. The Authorization to Test is valid for six months from purchase, and the Handbook states that exam fees are non-transferable and non-refundable — so book when you are ready, not before.

CSCP certification requirements
You need an approved eligibility application before you can schedule the CSCP exam. The APICS Exam Handbook lists three ways to qualify; meeting one is enough.
That makes CSCP open to graduates without experience and to experienced professionals without a degree. Holders of related designations, including other APICS certifications and several procurement credentials, qualify directly.
- A conferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- One of the listed designations, such as CPIM, CLTD, C.P.M., CPSM or CSM
- At least three years of related business experience

How to get CSCP certification
The route has four steps. Submit your eligibility application and get it approved. Buy the exam, which gives you an Authorization to Test valid for six months. Prepare — ASCM recommends about 100 hours of study on average. Then schedule and sit the APICS CSCP exam with Pearson VUE, at a test centre or online.

CSCP exam format and passing score
The CSCP exam has 150 questions: 130 operational questions that are scored and 20 pretest questions that are not. You cannot tell which are which, so answer every question. You have 3.5 hours, about 1 minute 24 seconds per question.
ASCM uses a scaled score. The range is 200 to 350, and 300 or above is a pass. You receive a printed score report at the end of the exam.
Delivery is computer-based at Pearson VUE test centres worldwide or online through OnVUE. If you choose online delivery, the Handbook says you cannot later switch that booking to a test centre. After a failed attempt you must wait 14 full days before you retake the exam.

What is on the CSCP exam? The eight modules
ASCM’s 2026 CSCP Module Content Outline lists eight modules. ASCM publishes no percentage weights for them on the outline, so cover all eight rather than betting on a few.
- Supply Chains, Demand Management, and Forecasting
- Global Supply Chain Networks
- Sourcing Products and Services
- Internal Operations and Inventory
- Forward and Reverse Logistics
- Supply Chain Relationships
- Supply Chain Risk
- Optimization, Sustainability, and Technology

APICS CSCP exam preparation materials and courses
ASCM’s own APICS CSCP exam preparation materials are the CSCP Learning System: digital and printed books (for one year from purchase), online study tools with quizzes, a practice exam, learning activities and a resource centre, and the CSCP Exam Content Manual. The Exam Content Manual defines what the exam covers, so use it to check any other material.
If you prefer a class, ASCM says instructor-led classes are offered by approved ASCM partners worldwide, and it also lists instructor-supported online classes. Before you pay for a CSCP certification course or a CSCP certification online course, check that it is run by an approved ASCM partner and covers all eight modules of the Exam Content Manual.
Is CSCP certification free anywhere? No. ASCM offers a free five-question quiz and a demo of the Learning System, but the practice exam is part of the paid Learning System and the exam itself has a fee.

CSCP exam questions, practice exams and pass rate
Real CSCP exam questions are protected. ASCM states that the question bank, exam forms and all exam materials are copyrighted, and sharing exam content counts as misconduct. The minimum sanction is an unscored exam, no refund and a ban of at least six months from retaking; ASCM can also revoke a certification.
For legitimate practice, the Learning System includes a CSCP practice exam. Use it after you have covered all eight modules, under the 3.5-hour limit, and treat a weak module as a signal to go back to the Exam Content Manual.
On the CSCP exam pass rate: ASCM does not publish one on its CSCP or exam details pages. A pass-rate figure quoted elsewhere does not come from ASCM.

APICS CPIM or CSCP certification?
Both are APICS certifications from ASCM, but they point in different directions. CPIM — Certified in Planning and Inventory Management — centres on planning and inventory, and ASCM presents it as building competencies to work across all functions of the supply chain. CSCP covers the extended supply chain end to end, from sourcing and networks to logistics, relationships and risk.
Eligibility differs too: CSCP requires a degree, three years of related experience or a listed designation, while ASCM’s CPIM page lists no eligibility requirement. If your work is planning and inventory, CPIM is the closer fit; if it spans the wider network, CSCP is.

CSCP practice questions
Certsqill’s CSCP practice questions are expert-developed: every question explains each answer option, and a readiness score for each of the eight modules shows which module still needs work before you use your Authorization to Test.
