CISSP cost: exam fee, vouchers, training and the annual fee

CISSP exam fee: what ISC2 publishes

How much is the CISSP exam? On 9 October 2026, ISC2’s CISSP page listed its exam and training options without prices, and the exam pricing section of its Schedule Exam page could not be read for checking; on 24 September 2026 none of ISC2’s certification, exam or registration pages named an amount, and the site carries a currency selector. The binding CISSP certification exam fee is the one shown at checkout for your region.

That is why this page gives no single CISSP exam price. A worldwide figure for the CISSP certification price — or for the ISC2 CISSP exam cost in any one currency — would state something we could not verify on ISC2’s own pages. Check the amount in the ISC2 cart before you plan your budget around it.

What you can buy: exam only, two attempts, or a bundle

The CISSP certification exam cost depends partly on which product you choose. ISC2’s CISSP page lists these options:

• Exam Only — one attempt; the exam code must be scheduled and taken within 365 days of purchase.
• Exam Only with Peace of Mind Protection — two attempts included in the purchase price, both to be taken within 180 days of purchase under the retake policy.
• Online Instructor-Led Training, with or without the exam (and with Peace of Mind Protection) — 180 days of access from the first session.
• Online Self-Paced Training for 90 or 180 days, with or without the exam (and with Peace of Mind Protection).

Is the two-attempt option worth it?

Peace of Mind Protection is ISC2’s way of pricing a retake in advance. It trades time for safety: both attempts must fall within 180 days, against 365 days for a single exam code. If you would need the full year to prepare, the single attempt gives you more room; if you are close to ready and want a fallback, two attempts in six months may suit you better. Compare the two prices in your cart — ISC2 does not publish them on the CISSP page.

CISSP exam voucher: how vouchers work

A CISSP voucher is a code that pays for the exam at ISC2’s checkout. ISC2’s registration page explains the process: add the certification exam you are taking to your cart, then enter your voucher code at checkout for a $0 purchase. So an ISC2 CISSP exam voucher is redeemed on ISC2’s own site, not at the test center.

If someone offers you CISSP exam vouchers, check where the code comes from. A voucher only has value if ISC2’s checkout accepts it, so buy or accept codes only from a source you can verify — ISC2 itself, your employer, or an official ISC2 training purchase.

CISSP voucher discount: what discounts exist

We found no public CISSP voucher discount, CISSP discount voucher or CISSP voucher code on ISC2’s pages. A CISSP exam voucher discount advertised elsewhere is that seller’s offer, not ISC2’s, so verify it before you pay.

The discounts ISC2 does describe are tied to its Candidate programme. Candidates get access to discounts on ISC2 Online Self-Paced Training and cybersecurity events; the first year of Candidate status is free, and renewing after that costs US$50 a year. None of these is described as a CISSP exam discount voucher, so do not count on one.

CISSP training cost

ISC2’s official CISSP training comes in two forms: on-demand self-paced training with 90 or 180 days of access, and live online training led by an ISC2 authorized instructor, on full-time or part-time schedules, with 180 days of access from the first session. Both can be bought with or without the exam. The CISSP training price for each appears in the ISC2 cart; the CISSP page itself shows none.

When you compare the cost of CISSP training, compare like with like: access period, whether the exam is included, whether you get one attempt or two, and whether the instructor is ISC2-authorized. A CISSP course price that looks low can exclude the exam, and a bundle that looks high can include two attempts.

CISSP certification training cost: bundle or separate?

The CISSP training and certification cost is easiest to compare as a bundle against the separate parts: training on its own plus Exam Only, against Training + Exam. ISC2 sells both ways for instructor-led and self-paced training. Note the different time limits: training access runs 90 or 180 days, while the exam in a single-attempt bundle must be taken within 365 days of purchase.

The CISSP course cost is also only part of the total if you are not yet certified at the end of it. Budget for the annual maintenance fee from the year you are certified, and for CPE activities to keep the certification.

CISSP bootcamp cost: what to check

A CISSP boot camp is an intensive instructor-led course aimed at the exam. We do not name or rank providers, and we cannot give you a typical CISSP bootcamp price: it depends entirely on the provider, the format and what is included. ISC2’s own instructor-led training is the official reference point. When you compare any CISSP boot camp cost, check:

• Is the instructor ISC2-authorized, and is the content ISC2’s official course material?
• Is the exam included — Exam Only, or with Peace of Mind Protection for two attempts?
• How long does access last after the live sessions? ISC2’s instructor-led training gives 180 days from the first session.
• Is it built on the current exam outline, effective since 15 April 2024?
• What happens if you fail — is a retake included or extra?

After you pass: the cost of keeping a CISSP

The exam is not the last cost. ISC2 charges an annual maintenance fee of US$135 for members who hold the CISSP, and US$50 a year for Associates of ISC2 — the status you hold if you pass before you have the five years of experience. You also need 120 CPE credits per three-year cycle.

So the full cost of CISSP is the exam (and any retake), any training you choose, and US$135 every year for as long as you hold the certification.

Spend less by passing once

The most reliable saving is not needing a second attempt. Certsqill’s expert-developed CISSP practice questions explain every answer option, and your readiness score is broken down by domain, so you can book when all eight domains are strong rather than paying for a retake. Every plan carries a 7-day money-back guarantee.
