What is the JNCIS-SP certification?
JNCIS-SP is Juniper’s Service Provider Routing and Switching, Specialist certification. It is the second of four levels in Juniper’s service provider track: JNCIA-Junos (associate), JNCIS-SP (specialist), JNCIP-SP (professional) and JNCIE-SP (expert).
Juniper says the certification is designed for networking professionals with beginner to intermediate knowledge of routing and switching on Junos. The written exam checks your understanding of these technologies and your ability to configure, monitor and troubleshoot them on HPE Juniper Networking service provider platforms.
The official pages now use the name HPE Juniper Networking, and the program policies speak of HPE Networking. The certification is still listed under the Juniper name with the JNCIS-SP title and the JN0-364 exam code.

JNCIS-SP exam format: JN0-364
The current JNCIS-SP exam is JN0-364. It consists of 65 multiple-choice questions, you have 90 minutes, and it is delivered by Pearson VUE. The exam is only provided in English.
Juniper bases the exam on Junos OS 25.2, so commands and output follow that release. You see your pass or fail status immediately after the exam.
Ninety minutes for 65 questions is a little under a minute and a half per question. That is enough for reading a routing table or a configuration snippet carefully, but not for working through each one from first principles — the command-line familiarity has to be there already.

How much is the JNCIS-SP exam? Cost and voucher
Juniper’s certification pages do not list a standard price for JN0-364, and the program policies list no exam prices either. The binding figure appears when you book with Pearson VUE.
There is one documented JNCIS-SP voucher. Under Juniper Open Learning, holders of a valid CCNP or CCIE in Service Provider — active, or expired for no more than a year — can take a free course and an assessment; scoring 70% or higher earns an exam voucher “for just $75 (75% off!)”. Juniper’s terms say the voucher is valid for 30 days, works only for online-proctored Pearson VUE exams and is limited to one per certification.
Plan a retake as a separate cost. Juniper’s retake rules allow another attempt, but nothing in the policies says a retake is free.

JNCIS-SP passing score
Juniper does not publish it. Its program policies state that passing scores are set by statistical analysis for each individual test and that HPE Networking does not publish exam passing scores. A percentage quoted elsewhere is not from Juniper.
Without a target number, the safe way to pass is breadth: the ten objectives below each carry questions, and a weak area such as spanning tree or IS-IS cannot be written off when nobody knows how much margin you have.

What is on the JNCIS-SP exam? Exam objectives
Juniper lists ten objectives, each including configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting. It does not publish weightings, so study them as equally important.
The scope is broad for a specialist exam: interior routing with both OSPF and IS-IS, BGP, Layer 2 bridging including provider bridging (Q-in-Q), all four spanning-tree variants (STP, RSTP, MSTP, VSTP), MPLS with RSVP, LDP and segment routing, IPv6, GRE tunnels, and high availability features such as LAG, GRES, NSR, BFD and VRRP.
- Protocol-independent routing — static, aggregate and generated routes, routing instances, RIB groups, load balancing, filter-based forwarding
- OSPF
- IS-IS
- BGP
- Layer 2 bridging and VLANs
- Spanning-tree protocols
- MPLS
- IPv6
- Tunnels
- High availability

JNCIS-SP prerequisites
JNCIA-Junos is the prerequisite certification Juniper lists for JNCIS-SP, and it is the only one. JNCIS-SP in turn is the prerequisite for the professional level, JNCIP-SP.
Juniper lists no required course and no experience requirement. Its description — beginner to intermediate knowledge of Junos routing and switching — is the realistic bar: you should be comfortable reading and changing Junos configuration before you book.

JNCIS-SP training and study resources
Juniper recommends three official training courses for the JNCIS-SP: Junos Intermediate Routing, Junos Service Provider Switching and Junos MPLS Fundamentals. Juniper is explicit that these resources are not required and that using them does not guarantee you will pass.
The JNCIS-SP page also links to Juniper’s own exam resources: practice exams and exam prep webinars. Combine them with the official objective list as your study checklist and with lab time on Junos, ideally on the same 25.2 release the exam is based on.
A realistic study plan maps each of the ten objectives to configuration you have typed yourself — OSPF areas, IS-IS levels, an IBGP/EBGP setup, an MPLS LSP — rather than to pages read.

JNCIS-SP dumps and Juniper’s exam rules
Juniper’s policies do not use the word “dump”, but they are clear about exam content: it may not be copied, reproduced, published, posted or distributed in any way without HPE Networking’s authorization. Penalties for violating the policy can include revoking exam results and banning candidates from the Juniper certification program.
Apart from the rules, dumps are not reliable preparation. JN0-364 tests configuration and troubleshooting understanding across ten objectives; memorised answers do not build that, and they do not carry over to JNCIP-SP.

How to pass the JNCIS-SP exam: retakes
If you fail your first attempt, Juniper lets you retake the exam at any time. After a second and any subsequent failure, you must wait 14 calendar days before the next attempt.
Pass/fail is shown immediately, so you know straight away whether to plan a retake.

How long is JNCIS-SP valid? Recertification
Juniper certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, you take the appropriate exam again before the certification expires, or you move up: Juniper states that passing an exam or taking a course at a higher level renews all lower-level active certifications in the same track.
For JNCIS-SP that means passing JNCIP-SP renews it, as long as JNCIS-SP is still active at that point.

JNCIS-SP practice questions
Certsqill’s JNCIS-SP practice questions come with an explanation for every answer option and a readiness score per objective, so you can see which of the ten areas still needs work before you book JN0-364.
