Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking Professional is Oracle’s advanced cert for designing, securing and troubleshooting OCI networks. The current exam is 1Z0-1124-26: 50 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes with 68% to pass, according to Oracle’s exam list. The credential is valid for 24 months, and Oracle sets no formal prerequisite but expects at least a year of hands-on OCI experience.

What is the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking Professional certification?
It is Oracle University’s professional-level credential for OCI networking. Oracle describes the target candidate as someone who plans, designs, implements, operates and troubleshoots networking and connectivity on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including hybrid and multicloud setups. Oracle’s learning path calls it ideal for architects.
The cert has been refreshed every year. Oracle ran a 2024 exam (1Z0-1124-24), a 2025 exam (1Z0-1124-25) and now lists 1Z0-1124-26. With the 2026 update Oracle dropped the year from certification titles, so you now earn “Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking Professional” rather than a dated version.

How much does the OCI Networking Professional exam cost?
In its August 2025 pricing post, Oracle University stated that an exam attempt for the core OCI certifications beyond the free Foundations level costs US$245, and it lists OCI Networking Professional among those core certifications.
That post predates the 2026 update, and Oracle’s Japanese exam list now points to an Exam Subscription as the way to buy the exam. Treat US$245 as Oracle’s last published figure and confirm the price shown at checkout.
The training is a separate cost question. With the 2026 update Oracle moved professional-level courses to paid access, while Foundations courses and the OCI Architect Associate course and exam are free.

OCI Networking Professional exam format and passing score
Oracle’s exam list gives the 2026 edition as 90 minutes, 50 questions and a 68% passing score. The 2025 launch post describes the same structure: 50 multiple-choice questions with 68% to pass, in the same multiple-choice format as the earlier version.
Fifty questions in 90 minutes leaves just under two minutes per question. That is enough time to read a routing scenario carefully, but not enough to work out from scratch how a route table, security list and gateway interact for every item, so the basics have to be automatic.
Unlike the OCI Architect Professional, this exam has no hands-on lab section; Oracle describes it as a multiple-choice exam.
The passing score of 68% means at least 34 correct answers out of 50, so you can miss up to 16. Oracle does not publish a weighting per topic for this exam in the sources that load, which makes it risky to write off any area: a gap in DNS or FastConnect can cost more questions than you expect.

What is on the OCI Networking Professional exam?
When Oracle launched the 2024 version, it named five task areas the exam validates. Oracle said of the 2025 refresh that most of the original content remains valid and added several new topics on top.

OCI Networking Professional prerequisites and experience
Oracle lists no formal prerequisite certification. The candidate profile for the exam asks for at least twelve months of hands-on experience with OCI and recommends 24 months, plus familiarity with general networking concepts.
In the 2025 launch post, Oracle’s author advises a good background in OCI networking and hands-on experience with OCI, and suggests earning other OCI certifications such as Architect or Security Professional first. That is advice, not a requirement, but it reflects the level: this exam assumes you already know VCNs, subnets and gateways and asks how to combine them.

How long is the OCI Networking Professional cert valid?
Oracle states that OCI certifications are valid for 24 months from the date the credential is earned. After that, the credential lapses unless you certify again on a current version of the exam.
Because Oracle refreshes the exam yearly, a two-year window usually means at least one newer edition will exist by the time you renew. Plan your renewal against the exam that is current at that point, not the one you passed.

Oracle University’s learning path “Become an OCI Networking Professional” is the official preparation route, with the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking Professional course, an Oracle University lab and a practice exam. When Oracle launched the 2024 version, the course had more than 60 lessons, over 40 demos and 18 hands-on labs.

OCI Networking Professional dumps and Oracle’s exam rules
Oracle’s Certification Program Guidelines treat any contribution to, use of or sharing of materials pertaining to Oracle certification exams, explicitly including “brain dumps”, as a violation of its Fraudulent Activity Policy.
The listed consequences include decertification, a temporary, indefinite or permanent ban from Oracle’s certification programme, and forfeiture of all fees previously paid to Oracle. A dump is therefore not a shortcut to this cert but a risk to every Oracle credential you hold.

OCI Networking Professional vs OCI Architect Associate and Professional
The OCI Architect Associate covers networking as one part of general OCI architecture. Its 2025 version had 50 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes with 68% to pass, the same shape as the Networking Professional, and since the 2026 update the Associate course and exam are free.
The OCI Architect Professional goes broad and hands-on: its 2025 version combined 2 hands-on scenarios with 25 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes. The Networking Professional goes deep instead, on connectivity, hybrid and multicloud networking, network security and troubleshooting, in a multiple-choice format.
