JNCIE-ENT certification: the Juniper enterprise expert lab exam
JNCIE-ENT is Juniper’s expert-level JNCIE certification for enterprise routing and switching. You earn it in one 6-hour hands-on lab exam, JPR-946, building and configuring a multi-device enterprise network — IGPs, BGP, EVPN, Layer 2, routing policy and class of service. You need an active JNCIP-ENT to enrol, the exam is English-only, and the certification is valid for three years. Juniper publishes neither the lab exam price nor a passing score.

What is the JNCIE certification?
JNCIE is the expert level of Juniper’s certification tracks — above Associate (JNCIA), Specialist (JNCIS) and Professional (JNCIP). JNCIE certifications are earned in hands-on lab exams rather than multiple-choice tests.
JNCIE-ENT is the expert certification of the Enterprise Routing and Switching track. Juniper lists four certifications in that track: JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-ENT and JNCIE-ENT. Juniper, now part of HPE, describes the practical exam as validating your ability to deploy, configure, manage and troubleshoot Junos-based enterprise platforms.

JNCIE-ENT exam format: a 6-hour lab
The exam, JPR-946, is a hands-on lab exam lasting six hours. Throughout it you build an enterprise network infrastructure and configure system settings and protocols such as IGPs, BGP, EVPN, Layer 2 features, routing policies and class of service. It is offered in English only.
The lab runs on virtual Junos platforms: Juniper lists vEX Virtual Switch 25.2R1, vSRX Virtual Firewall 25.2R1 and vMX Virtual Router 23.2R2. Practising on those versions keeps the commands and behaviour you see aligned with the exam.
JNCIE lab exams are delivered by Juniper itself, not through Pearson VUE. Juniper says they are delivered remotely and in person at select Juniper Networks Education Centers; the JNCIE-ENT session list currently shows remote proctored sessions for the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. A JNCIE proctor watches the session in real time, and remote candidates need a Windows PC.

How much does the JNCIE-ENT exam cost?
Juniper’s JNCIE-ENT certification and lab exam pages do not show a price for the lab exam itself. Payment is due when you enrol for your lab exam, and cancellations at least thirty days before the exam start date are the ones eligible for a refund.
Two related figures Juniper does publish: a Lab Exam Results Evaluation, if you want your result re-checked, costs $250 USD; and the official JNCIE-ENT Certification Self-Study Bundle is listed at $600 USD.

JNCIE-ENT passing score and results
Juniper does not publish passing scores — its policy states plainly that HPE Networking does not publish exam passing scores. For a lab exam that means the target is a fully working network that meets every requirement, not a percentage.
Results are available within five business days from the exam date, unless otherwise indicated. If you do not pass, you must wait 14 calendar days before attempting the lab exam again.

What is on the JNCIE-ENT exam?
Juniper publishes five objective areas for JNCIE-ENT. It does not publish a weighting, so treat each as fully examinable:
- System Management and Monitoring
- Layer 2 Switching and Features
- Layer 3 Switching and Features — including OSPF, BGP, routing policy, NAT on SRX and multicast/PIM
- EVPN and Services — including EVPN-VXLAN, MAC-VRF, centrally and edge-routed bridging, ECMP and multihoming
- Class of Service (CoS)

JNCIE-ENT prerequisites
You cannot enrol in the lab exam without an active JNCIP-ENT. Juniper states that you will not be eligible to enrol in any lab exam unless you hold an active and applicable Professional-level certification, and that the JNCIE-ENT exam requires an active JNCIP-ENT.
The JNCIP-ENT itself is a written exam — JN0-650, 65 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes at Pearson VUE — and requires JNCIS-ENT. So the full path is JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-ENT and then the JNCIE-ENT lab.

JNCIE-ENT training, bootcamp and study prep
Juniper’s recommended training for JNCIE-ENT is the JNCIE-ENT Certification Self-Study Bundle plus all courses listed for the underlying certifications. The bundle includes lab access and an eBook with two practice exams (“Super Labs”); Juniper describes them as two 8-hour practice exams meant to give the same experience as the real exam. Access runs 366 days.
Juniper’s learning portal also lists a JNCIE Enterprise Bootcamp (JNCIE-ENT). Its details sit behind the portal login, so check format, dates and price there before you plan around it.
For self-study, Juniper also points to its TechLibrary documentation. The study plan that works for a lab exam is repetition: build the topology, configure every objective from scratch against the clock, then troubleshoot deliberately broken versions.

How long is the JNCIE-ENT certification valid?
All JNCP certifications are active for three years. To recertify, Juniper says you take the appropriate exam before your certification expires or obtain a higher-level certification in the same track.
Juniper also states that passing an exam at a higher level renews all lower-level active certifications in the same track — so passing JNCIE-ENT also refreshes an active JNCIP-ENT, JNCIS-ENT and JNCIA-Junos.

JNCIE-ENT salary: what Juniper publishes
Juniper does not publish a salary for JNCIE-ENT holders. Its free-training page lists an average US salary of $108,801 for the network engineer role, attributed to an external salary source, and names JNCIE-ENT among the certifications related to that role. That is a role average, not a figure for JNCIE-ENT holders, and should not be read as what the certification pays.

JNCIE-ENT dumps and exam confidentiality
A lab exam cannot be passed from a dump: you build and troubleshoot a live network for six hours, and a proctor watches the session. Juniper’s policies also require candidates to take no action that compromises the integrity or confidentiality of any HPE Networking certification exam, and penalties can include revoking exam results and banning candidates from the certification program.

JNCIE-ENT practice questions
Because the exam is a lab, Certsqill’s JNCIE-ENT practice questions supplement hands-on practice rather than replace it. Each question comes with an explanation for every option and a readiness score per objective area, so you can see which protocols to rebuild in the lab next.
