What is the ServiceNow CIS-HR certification?
CIS-HR is the ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Human Resources. ServiceNow states that the exam confirms you have the knowledge and skills to configure, implement and maintain the ServiceNow HR suite, the set of applications behind HR Service Delivery.
It is one of ServiceNow’s mainline certifications, which ServiceNow describes as proctored exams that validate your ability to apply key ServiceNow knowledge and skills for products or roles. Passing it awards the CIS-HR certification and a Credly digital badge.
The typical candidate is an implementation consultant, HR platform owner or ServiceNow administrator who sets up HR cases, the employee portal and onboarding journeys for real organisations, and who has to keep sensitive HR data separated from the rest of the platform.

How to read the CIS-HR skills list
HR architecture is the foundation: how the HR scoped applications, HR services, case types and the HR data model fit together. Expect to reason about where a configuration belongs rather than simply where a menu item is.
Core applications and Employee Center cover the day-to-day product: HR case and knowledge management and the portal employees use to find answers and request help. HR Journeys are the structured experiences for moments such as onboarding, where tasks across HR, IT and facilities have to run in the right order.
Security is the item that sets HR apart from most other ServiceNow products. HR data is sensitive, so you need to understand how access is restricted to the right roles and how HR records stay hidden from people who should not see them. How much does the CIS-HR exam cost?
ServiceNow keeps the price of its mainline certification exams in a ServiceNow University knowledge article that could not be read on the public web for this page, so no figure is quoted here.
There is an official route to a voucher, though. ServiceNow University awards an eligibility badge when you complete the Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) Implementation (On Demand) course, and that badge grants eligibility for the CIS-HR certification exam voucher. CIS-HR exam voucher: how it works
ServiceNow sets a firm deadline on the voucher. After you complete the HRSD Implementation (On Demand) course, you have 365 days to claim the voucher and use it on Webassessor, the platform where the exam is booked.
If the eligibility badge expires before you claim the voucher, ServiceNow requires you to retake the course to earn a new one. Plan your exam date before you finish the course, not after, so the window does not run out while you are still revising.

CIS-HR exam format, questions and passing score
ServiceNow states publicly that CIS-HR is a proctored exam. The number of questions, the time limit, the passing score and the domain weightings are defined in the CIS-HR mainline exam blueprint, a ServiceNow University knowledge article that showed only its title on the public web.
This page therefore gives no question count, duration or passing percentage. The blueprint is the only source for the current version of the exam, and ServiceNow updates its exams with platform releases, so read it shortly before you book.

CIS-HR prerequisites and registration
Registration runs through ServiceNow University. The CIS-HR certification page links to a “Register for Exam” page, which ServiceNow describes as covering the exam’s purpose, audience, recommended experience, registration process and key policies.

CIS-HR and the Suite Certification – HR Professional
CIS-HR is also the mainline building block of ServiceNow’s Suite Certification – HR Professional. ServiceNow lists the requirements as the Certified Implementation Specialist – Human Resources certification plus three micro-certifications: Platform Analytics, Predictive Intelligence and Virtual Agent.
The suite needs no additional exam. ServiceNow awards it automatically once all underlying credentials are earned, so passing CIS-HR is the main hurdle on the way to the HR Professional suite.

ServiceNow CIS-HR exam dumps
