How to get the CIS-SAM exam voucher
ServiceNow ties exam eligibility to training. Completing the SAM Professional Fundamentals course earns a badge called ServiceNow Eligibility for CIS – SAM Voucher, which grants eligibility for the CIS-SAM certification exam voucher.
The voucher has a deadline. You have 365 days from the date you complete the course to claim and use the voucher on Webassessor. If that window passes, you must retake the course to earn a new voucher.
Plan backwards from that date: finish the course when you are ready to study seriously, not months before you can sit the exam.

CIS-SAM prerequisites
The only requirement ServiceNow states publicly for the CIS-SAM exam is the training route: SAM Professional Fundamentals earns the voucher eligibility. Whether further prerequisites apply, such as a prior ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification, is set out in the blueprint and the Credentialing Program Guide, which could not be read publicly.
