What is the OCI Database Services Professional certification?

It is Oracle University’s professional-level certification for operating Oracle’s database services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Oracle’s course page says the training equips database professionals, DevOps engineers and cloud architects to provision, manage and optimise Oracle Database services on OCI.

The name has changed more than once. Oracle’s certification catalogue lists Oracle Cloud Database Service 2024 Professional with exam 1Z0-1093-24. The 2025 edition, exam 1Z0-1093-25, appears as Oracle Cloud Database Services 2025 Professional and, on the current course pages, as Oracle AI Cloud Database Services 2025 Professional. People still search for it as the OCI Database Services Professional cert.

Is the 1Z0-1093 exam still available?

This is the first thing to check. Oracle’s “Become an Oracle AI Cloud Database Services Professional (2025)” learning path and the matching course both state that they will be archived on 30 September 2026. On 14 October 2026 we found no 2026 edition of the exam on Oracle’s sites, and Oracle’s current Japanese exam list does not include 1Z0-1093.

At the same time, Oracle’s August 2026 update announced the Database track as one of five certification tracks and named a new professional-level Exadata Database Service certification, planned for October 2026. Oracle has not said whether that replaces 1Z0-1093.

So do not assume the 2025 exam can still be booked. Open Oracle’s exam page for 1Z0-1093-25, confirm it is offered, and check for a successor before you pay for an attempt or a course.

What is on the OCI Database Services Professional exam?

Oracle does not publish a topic weighting in the sources that load, but the official course spells out the scope. It centres on Base Database Service and Exadata Database Service, adds high availability with Data Guard, and extends to MySQL HeatWave and NoSQL Database Cloud Service.

The 2025 learning path frames the same content as outcomes: provisioning and configuring the database services, running day-to-day operations, scaling and tuning for performance, applying security measures, automating routine tasks, and building backup and recovery strategies.

OCI Database Services Professional exam format

The number of questions, the time limit and the passing score for 1Z0-1093-25 are not confirmed here: Oracle’s exam page could not be loaded on 14 October 2026, and neither the course pages nor Oracle’s blog posts state them. Oracle’s practice exam for the course says only that it is designed to closely replicate the format and content of the actual certification exam.

We do not fill that gap with figures from other Oracle exams. Oracle’s exams do not all share one format — the OCI Architect Professional, for example, includes hands-on scenarios. Read the format on the exam page itself.

How much is the Oracle Cloud Database Services Professional exam?

Oracle’s August 2025 pricing post gives US$245 per attempt for the core OCI certifications, but it places the database certification in a separate Database Platform pillar and gives no price for it. The price of 1Z0-1093-25 is therefore not stated in a source we could load.

The training is paid as well. The course page asks you to subscribe to access the content, and with the 2026 update Oracle moved professional-level courses to paid access generally.

Prerequisites and who the cert is for

Oracle’s course and learning path pages do not list formal prerequisites or a required amount of experience. The course names its audience: database professionals, DevOps engineers and cloud architects.

In practice the content assumes you already administer Oracle Database. The course is about operating it as a managed cloud service — provisioning, upgrades, Data Guard, backups and security on OCI — rather than about learning the database itself.

How long is the certification valid?

Oracle’s Certification Program Guidelines state that Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications are valid for 24 months from the date the credential is earned, and Oracle repeated that in its 2026 update. The guidelines do not list which credentials count as OCI certifications, so check the expiry date shown for your credential in Oracle’s certification portal.

Oracle’s guidelines also note that certain Oracle Database credentials require periodic recertification to remain active.

OCI Database Services Professional exam dumps

Oracle’s Certification Program Guidelines treat any contribution to, use of or sharing of materials pertaining to Oracle certification exams, explicitly including “brain dumps”, as a violation of its Fraudulent Activity Policy.

Consequences listed by Oracle include decertification, a temporary, indefinite or permanent ban from the certification programme, and forfeiture of all fees previously paid to Oracle. For an exam whose availability is uncertain, a dump also gives you nothing you could check against the real thing.
