JNCIP certification: tracks, JNCIP-ENT exam and requirements
JNCIP is not one exam but the professional tier of Juniper’s certification program, offered in five tracks: JNCIP-ENT, JNCIP-SP, JNCIP-SEC, JNCIP-DC and JNCIP-MistAI. Each is a single exam of 65 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, in English only, and each requires a JNCIS specialist certification first. The most common, JNCIP-ENT, is exam JN0-650 and requires JNCIS-ENT.

What is the JNCIP certification?
JNCIP — Juniper Networks Certified Professional — is the third of four tiers in Juniper’s certification program: Associate (JNCIA), Specialist (JNCIS), Professional (JNCIP) and Expert (JNCIE). It is aimed at experienced engineers; for JNCIP-ENT, Juniper describes the audience as networking professionals with advanced knowledge of the Junos OS.
The important point for anyone searching “JNCIP certification” is that there is no single JNCIP exam. The professional tier exists separately in five tracks, each with its own exam, prerequisite and objectives. Every one of them is 65 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, offered in English only:
The enterprise track shows how the ladder works: JNCIA-Junos (no prerequisite), then JNCIS-ENT (JN0-352, requires JNCIA-Junos), then JNCIP-ENT (JN0-650, requires JNCIS-ENT), then JNCIE-ENT. Juniper is now part of HPE, and the official pages refer to HPE Juniper Networking; the certification names are unchanged.
- JNCIP-ENT — Enterprise Routing and Switching, Professional: exam JN0-650, requires JNCIS-ENT
- JNCIP-SP — Service Provider Routing and Switching, Professional: exam JN0-664, requires JNCIS-SP
- JNCIP-SEC — Security, Professional: exam JN0-637, requires JNCIS-SEC
- JNCIP-DC — Data Center, Professional: exam JN0-683, requires JNCIS-DC or JNCIS-ENT
- JNCIP-MistAI — Mist AI, Professional: exam JN0-750, requires JNCIS-MistAI-Wireless or JNCIS-MistAI-Wired

How much does the JNCIP certification cost?
Juniper does not state a list price for JNCIP exams on the track overviews or in its program policies. We would rather tell you that than quote a figure Juniper does not publish on the pages we can cite.
Juniper does publish a discounted route for JNCIP-ENT, JNCIP-SEC and JNCIP-SP. Training through its professional-level Open Learning courses starts free, but enrolment requires an active JNCIS certification in the corresponding track. Pass the Voucher Assessment Test with 70% or higher and Juniper gives a 75% discount on the live exam, “making it just $100”. Course access lasts six months; the voucher is valid for 30 days from issue, one per exam.
Remember that the JNCIP is the third exam on its track, so the real cost of reaching it includes the JNCIA and JNCIS exams before it. Cancelling or rescheduling less than 24 hours before an appointment incurs a same-day forfeit fee, the amount of which Juniper does not state.

What is the JNCIP exam format?
Every JNCIP exam has 65 multiple-choice questions and a 90-minute limit, and every one is provided in English only. JNCIP-ENT is delivered through Pearson VUE, and Juniper states its certification exams can be taken from home or office.
Each exam is tied to a software release. JNCIP-ENT is based on Junos OS v25.2, JNCIP-DC on Junos OS 23.4 and JNCIP-SP on Junos OS 22.3 — worth checking when you choose lab software to practise on.
Pass/fail status is shown immediately after the exam. Retakes follow Juniper’s published policy: after a first failure you may retake at any time, after a second or later failure you wait 14 calendar days, and once you have passed you must wait at least 18 months before taking the same exam again.

JNCIP passing score
Juniper does not publish a passing score for any JNCIP exam. Its program policies state that passing scores are set by statistical analysis for each individual test, may not be consistent across exams, and that HPE Networking does not publish exam passing scores.
That means there is no percentage target to plan towards. With 65 questions across eight JNCIP-ENT objectives and no published weighting, a weak objective is a real risk; the practical approach is to be able to configure and explain every one of them.

What is on the JNCIP-ENT exam?
Juniper lists eight exam objectives for JN0-650. It does not publish weightings for them:
The list spans routing (IGPs, BGP, multicast), switching and Layer 2 access control, voice features, class of service and EVPN — routing and switching together, as the track name says. The other JNCIP tracks have their own objectives on their track pages; this list applies to JNCIP-ENT only.
- Interior Gateway Protocols (IGPs)
- BGP
- IP Multicast
- Ethernet Switching and Spanning Tree
- Layer 2 Authentication and Access Control
- IP Telephony Features
- Class of service (CoS)
- EVPN

JNCIP prerequisites and requirements
Every JNCIP requires a specialist certification first. JNCIP-ENT lists JNCIS-ENT; JNCIP-SP lists JNCIS-SP; JNCIP-SEC lists JNCIS-SEC; JNCIP-DC accepts JNCIS-DC or JNCIS-ENT; JNCIP-MistAI accepts JNCIS-MistAI-Wireless or JNCIS-MistAI-Wired.
On the enterprise track that makes three exams in sequence: JNCIA-Junos (JN0-106, no prerequisite), JNCIS-ENT (JN0-352, 65 questions, 90 minutes, requires JNCIA-Junos), then JNCIP-ENT. Juniper sets this order as a stated prerequisite on each exam page — a requirement, not a recommendation.

How long is the JNCIP certification valid?
Juniper certifications are valid for three years; if not renewed in that period they expire, and an expired certification must be re-earned from the beginning of the track.
JNCIP has a useful side effect for renewal. Juniper states that passing an exam or taking a course at a higher level renews all lower-level active certifications in the same track, as well as all other active associate-level certifications. Passing JNCIP-ENT therefore also renews an active JNCIS-ENT and your active JNCIA certifications. To keep the JNCIP itself, retake the appropriate exam, take the specified or a higher-level course in the track, or move up to JNCIE.

JNCIP study materials and training
For JNCIP-ENT, Juniper lists two courses: Advanced Junos Enterprise Routing and Advanced Junos Enterprise Switching. The other tracks have their own: Advanced Juniper Security for JNCIP-SEC, Junos Layer 2 VPNs and Junos Layer 3 VPNs for JNCIP-SP, Implementing Data Center Fabric with EVPN and VXLAN for JNCIP-DC, and Automating Juniper Mist AI Enterprise (AJMA) for JNCIP-MistAI.
For JNCIP-ENT, JNCIP-SEC and JNCIP-SP, Juniper’s free training route gives holders of an active JNCIS in the same track six months of access to its professional-level Open Learning courses, plus the exam discount described above. Juniper does not list the same offer for JNCIP-DC or JNCIP-MistAI on that page.

JNCIP vs CCNP Enterprise
Both are professional-tier enterprise networking certifications valid for three years, but they are built differently. Cisco’s CCNP Enterprise takes two exams — the 350-401 ENCOR core at $US400 (120 minutes) plus one of six concentrations at $US300 (90 minutes) — and Cisco sets no prerequisite.
JNCIP-ENT is a single 90-minute exam, but Juniper requires JNCIS-ENT first, which in turn requires JNCIA-Junos. So the Juniper route to the professional tier is three exams in a fixed order, against Cisco’s two exams with no gate. The platform is the other difference: CCNP is Cisco’s, JNCIP-ENT is built on Junos OS.

JNCIP dumps: what Juniper’s policies say
Juniper’s certification program policies treat exam content as the proprietary and confidential property of HPE Networking. It may not be copied, reproduced, published, posted, transmitted or distributed in any way without HPE Networking’s express authorization — which is exactly what a JNCIP dump is.
Candidates must take no action that compromises the integrity or confidentiality of the exams, and signing and adhering to the Certification Candidate Agreement is required both to be certified and to keep the certification valid. Juniper states that penalties can include revoking exam results and banning candidates from the certification program, and it reserves the right to revise a score at any time after testing if there is evidence of misconduct.
For a three-year professional credential that sits on top of two earlier exams in the same track, that is a lot to put at risk — and a dump cannot tell you whether its answers are even correct.

Preparing without a published passing score
Because Juniper does not publish passing scores, practice results cannot be read against a target percentage. A more useful test is whether you can configure, verify and explain every objective of your track on lab equipment or software running the Junos release the exam is based on.
When Certsqill’s JNCIP question bank opens — use “Get notified” on this page — each question will explain every answer option, so you can see why a plausible configuration is wrong, not just that it is.
More JNCIP questions
Are JNCIP dumps allowed?
No. Juniper’s policies say exam content may not be copied or distributed without HPE Networking’s authorization, and penalties can include revoked exam results and a ban from the certification program. Checked 9 October 2026.
Can Juniper change my score after the exam?
Yes. Juniper reserves the right to revise an exam score at any time after testing if there is evidence of misconduct or a security violation. Checked 9 October 2026.
