What is the MB-330 certification?
The MB-330 certification is the common name for Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate. Microsoft summarises it as “design and configure Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and related tools”, lists it at intermediate level and assigns it to the functional consultant role.
The study guide describes the candidate as someone who designs solutions and configures Supply Chain Management to meet a customer’s business requirements, understands end-to-end supply chain processes, and can identify which system capabilities to use, following industry-recommended practices.
In practice the exam is about configuration decisions — setting up products, inventory, warehouses, transportation and master planning in Dynamics 365 — rather than writing code.

MB-330 status: the October 21, 2026 update
MB-330 is active and not on Microsoft’s retirement list. Microsoft has announced that the English version of the exam will be updated on October 21, 2026, and the study guide already shows the skills measured from that date.
The change log marks every change as minor: the audience profile, inventory activities, landed cost, common sales and marketing features, warehouse management processes and master plans. The other areas are unchanged. Microsoft shows two versions of the skills measured, depending on when you take the exam, and notes that localized versions are updated approximately eight weeks after English.

How much does the MB-330 exam cost?
Microsoft does not print a single price on the MB-330 pages. It states that the price is based on the country or region in which the exam is proctored, and you see the exact amount when you schedule.
Retakes are charged as well: Microsoft’s retake policy says you must pay to retake the exam where applicable. Renewal, by contrast, is free — an online assessment on Microsoft Learn once a year.

MB-330 exam format and passing score
You have 100 minutes for the exam, which matches Microsoft’s standard for associate role-based exams without labs (plan for about 120 minutes of seat time). The exam is proctored, and Microsoft notes it may include interactive components.
The passing score is 700 or greater. Microsoft does not identify specific question formats before the exam; across its exams it uses types such as multiple choice, drag and drop, hot area, build list and case studies. Most questions cover features that are generally available, though commonly used preview features can appear.
The exam is offered in English and Japanese. If it is not available in your preferred language, the study guide says you can request an additional 30 minutes.

Microsoft does not publish the number of MB-330 questions. Its general guidance is that most Microsoft certification exams contain between 40 and 60 questions, but that the number varies by exam and changes as exams are updated.

What is on the MB-330 exam? Skills measured
The study guide lists five skill areas with weightings, valid from October 21, 2026. Product information management is the largest block; inventory and asset management and warehouse and transportation management follow closely, so those three together make up roughly three quarters of the exam.

MB-330 training and study resources
Microsoft offers two ways to prepare: self-paced learning paths and modules on Microsoft Learn, and an instructor-led course. The instructor-led option is Course MB-330T00-A, Conceptualize Supply Chain Management in Microsoft Dynamics 365 — five days at intermediate level, with lectures and hands-on exercises built around a functional consultant case study.
The study guide also points to the Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management documentation, the Exam Readiness Zone videos and an exam sandbox where you can explore the exam interface. Hands-on time in a Supply Chain Management environment is the part that no reading replaces: the exam asks how you would configure the system, not what a feature is called.

MB-330 retakes and renewal
If you fail, you can retake the exam after 24 hours. After that, Microsoft imposes a 14-day wait between attempts, and you can take the same exam at most five times in 12 months from your first attempt.
Once certified, the credential is valid for 12 months. You renew it at no cost by passing an online renewal assessment on Microsoft Learn; if you do not, it expires.

MB-330 and the retired Supply Chain Management Expert (MB-335)
Microsoft also had an expert-level credential in the same area: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Expert, earned with exam MB-335. Microsoft lists MB-335 among its recently retired exams, retired on June 30, 2026.
MB-330 itself is not affected: it is not on the retirement list. If you were planning the expert step, note that Microsoft’s retirement page names no successor for MB-335, so check Microsoft Learn before building a plan around it.

MB-330 dumps and MB-330 practice questions
Microsoft’s security policy defines a brain dump as a source containing exam content that was fraudulently obtained to share or sell, and states that using such material to prepare for or during an exam constitutes cheating. Candidates who do so may be permanently banned from Microsoft credentials and have certifications and scores revoked.
