What is the NCA-AIIO certification?
NCA-AIIO stands for NVIDIA-Certified Associate: AI Infrastructure and Operations. NVIDIA says the NCA-AIIO certification validates the foundational concepts of AI computing related to infrastructure and operations — the hardware, networking, data center and operational side of running AI workloads, rather than building models.
It is one of four associate-level NVIDIA exams, alongside Accelerated Data Science, Generative AI LLMs and Generative AI Multimodal. NVIDIA lists a wide audience for it, from data center technicians, networking engineers and systems administrators to DevOps engineers, IT managers and solution architects, and even sales and business-line roles.

How much does the NCA-AIIO exam cost?
NVIDIA lists the NCA-AIIO exam at US$125, the same price as its other associate-level exams. If you fail, you buy the exam again for the next attempt.
NVIDIA’s recommended course, AI Infrastructure and Operations Fundamentals, is listed separately; the certification page does not show a course price.

NCA-AIIO exam format and results
The NCA-AIIO exam has 50 questions and a 60-minute time limit, so you have a little over a minute per question. It is offered in English.
It is taken online with a remote proctor. To book and sit it, you create an account on Certiverse, the platform NVIDIA uses for this exam.
NVIDIA certification exams are pass/fail, and you do not receive a score. For most exams the result appears on screen at the end and by email, which can take up to 24 hours. If you pass, you accept a digital badge through Credly and can download an optional certificate.

What is on the NCA-AIIO exam?
NVIDIA divides the NCA-AIIO exam into three domains. AI Infrastructure is the largest at 40%: hardware requirements, scaling GPU infrastructure, power and cooling, on-premises versus cloud, cluster components, facility needs, data center networking and DPUs.
Essential AI Knowledge (38%) covers AI, machine learning and deep learning concepts, use cases, training versus inference requirements, GPU versus CPU architecture and the NVIDIA software stack. AI Operations (22%) covers data center management and monitoring, cluster orchestration and job scheduling, GPU monitoring metrics and virtualising accelerated infrastructure.
- Essential AI Knowledge — 38%
- AI Infrastructure — 40%
- AI Operations — 22%

Who should take NCA-AIIO? Prerequisites
NVIDIA’s certification page names one suggested prerequisite: a basic understanding of data center infrastructure. That makes NCA-AIIO an entry point for people who already know servers, networking or IT operations and now need to understand what changes when the workload is AI.
If you have no data center background at all, start with the fundamentals course before booking. If you already run GPU clusters in production, look at NVIDIA’s professional-level infrastructure exam instead.

NCA-AIIO training and study guide
NVIDIA’s recommended training is the self-paced course AI Infrastructure and Operations Fundamentals, which NVIDIA says typically takes seven hours to complete. It is the official route through all three domains.
NVIDIA also links an exam study guide from the NCA-AIIO page. Use it with the domain list above: plan to spend the most study time on infrastructure and on essential AI knowledge, which together make up 78% of the exam.
Because the exam is only 60 minutes long, speed matters. Practise reading a scenario and quickly placing it in the right domain — infrastructure, AI concepts or operations — before you choose an answer.

NCA-AIIO practice test, exam questions and dumps
For an NCA-AIIO practice test, start with NVIDIA’s own material: the study guide and the fundamentals course. Any practice set you add should follow NVIDIA’s three domains and their weights, otherwise it trains the wrong balance.
NVIDIA states that it is committed to ensuring its certification exams are respected and valued in the marketplace. NCA-AIIO dumps that claim to reproduce the live exam are not reliable preparation: you cannot tell whether they are current or correct, and memorised answers do not help with the scenarios that come up in real AI infrastructure work.

Retakes, validity and recertification
If you do not pass, there is a 14-day waiting period before you can retake the exam, and you may not take the same exam more than five times in 12 months. Each attempt is a new purchase.
The NCA-AIIO certification is valid for two years from issuance. NVIDIA’s FAQ says that after two years you must retake the exam to be recertified.

NCA-AIIO vs NCP-AII
NCA-AIIO is the associate level. The professional counterpart is the NVIDIA AI Infrastructure certification, NCP-AII: US$400, 120 minutes and about 70 to 75 questions, with a recommended two to three years of operational experience in a data center with NVIDIA hardware.
The step between them is experience. NCA-AIIO checks that you understand AI infrastructure and operations concepts; NCP-AII is aimed at people who already work hands-on with NVIDIA systems.
