What is the PSPO II certification?
PSPO II stands for Professional Scrum Product Owner II. Scrum.org describes it as evidence that you have demonstrated an advanced level of Product Ownership knowledge and an understanding of how the Scrum framework can support the creation of value.
Scrum.org lists the topics it covers: product vision, product backlog management, release and portfolio planning, business strategy and working with stakeholders. PSPO I, by comparison, is described as a fundamental understanding of the Scrum framework and the minimum knowledge of the Product Owner accountabilities.
In the Product Owner path, PSPO II is the middle level. PSPO I comes first, and PSPO III above it is described by Scrum.org as a distinguished level of understanding.

How much does the PSPO II exam cost?
The PSPO II assessment costs US$250 per attempt. You buy a password, and that password has no expiration date but is valid for one attempt only — so a second try means buying a second password.
The alternative route is training. Scrum.org states that each of its training classes includes a free attempt at the associated certification, and participants who complete the Professional Scrum Product Owner – Advanced course receive a password for PSPO II. Course prices are set by the individual trainers and are not published by Scrum.org on the course page.

PSPO II exam format and passing score
The PSPO II exam has 40 questions in 60 minutes, which gives you an average of 90 seconds per question. The format is multiple choice and multiple answer, and Scrum.org notes that partial credit is given on some questions.
The passing score is 85%. On 40 questions, that leaves very little room: if every question counted equally, six wrong answers would already take you below the line.
The assessment is in English. Scrum.org says many people take it in their native language with the Google Translate plugin, while noting that it cannot guarantee the quality of the translation. Paper reference material is allowed, but with 90 seconds per question there is little time to look things up.

What is on the PSPO II assessment?
Scrum.org lists three focus areas for PSPO II and states where the weight lies: the greatest emphasis is on Managing Products with Agility, followed by Evolving the Agile Organization. Scrum.org does not publish percentages.
Compared with PSPO I, the new area is Evolving the Agile Organization, which PSPO I does not list as a focus area. The Scrum framework is still in scope, but it carries the least emphasis; value, strategy, forecasting and stakeholders — the decisions a Product Owner makes every week — carry the most.
- Managing Products with Agility — forecasting and release planning, product vision, product value, product backlog management, business strategy, stakeholders and customers
- Evolving the Agile Organization — organizational design and culture, portfolio planning, Evidence-Based Management
- Understanding and Applying the Scrum Framework — empiricism, Scrum values, Scrum Team, events, artifacts, scaling

PSPO II training: the Professional Scrum Product Owner – Advanced course
Scrum.org recommends two courses for PSPO II — Professional Scrum Product Owner and Professional Scrum Product Owner – Advanced — and says attending the Advanced class is highly recommended, though not a prerequisite.
The Advanced course is a two-day class; live virtual versions may be split into more, shorter days. It is aimed at people with at least one year of Product Owner experience, and every participant who completes it receives a password for the PSPO II assessment.
There is a useful safety net. Scrum.org states that participants who attempt PSPO II within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% are granted a second attempt at no additional cost. Course participants are also entitled to a discount on PSPO III; Scrum.org does not state the amount on the course page.

PSPO II prerequisites
There is no mandatory prerequisite. Scrum.org recommends holding PSPO I and states that candidates for PSPO II should have experience as a Product Owner and a strong understanding of the fundamentals of Scrum.
You do not need to attend a course to buy an attempt. If you skip the course, the experience recommendation matters even more, because Scrum.org itself says that reading the Scrum Guide alone is not enough to pass its assessments, and the pass mark is 85%.

How to prep for the PSPO II exam
Scrum.org is direct about this: reading the Scrum Guide alone is not enough to pass a Professional Scrum assessment. Its own preparation advice points to its free Open Assessments as practice for Scrum knowledge, and to further reading and training for deeper study.
For PSPO II, organise your study around the two heavily weighted areas. Work through product value and Evidence-Based Management, forecasting and release planning, and how a Product Owner works with stakeholders and influences the wider organisation. Then go back over the Scrum framework itself so that the basics hold under time pressure.
Plan your attempt for when you consistently get the reasoning right, not only the answer. With partial credit on some questions and an 85% threshold, half-right answers add up quickly.

PSPO II practice tests and exam dumps
Scrum.org’s free Open Assessments are its official practice tools; it does not list a separate practice test for PSPO II on the assessment page. Use them to check your fundamentals before moving on to the advanced topics.
Exam dumps break Scrum.org’s Standard of Conduct for Assessments. The rules state that you will not share any assessment materials, including your answers, that you will not prepare answers ahead of time, and that you will not use AI tools to answer questions. Breaking them may result in your Scrum.org certifications being revoked.

PSPO I vs PSPO II
Both assessments last 60 minutes and require 85% to pass. PSPO I costs US$200 and has 80 questions; PSPO II costs US$250 and has 40 questions. The time per question doubles at PSPO II, but the pass mark stays the same.
The difference in content matters more. Scrum.org describes PSPO I as a fundamental understanding of the Scrum framework and how to apply it to maximise value, including the minimum knowledge of the Product Owner accountabilities. PSPO II puts the greatest emphasis on Managing Products with Agility and adds Evolving the Agile Organization — organisational design and culture, portfolio planning and Evidence-Based Management — which is not one of the PSPO I focus areas.
