What is the Intelligent Applications Builder Associate certification?
Microsoft Certified: Intelligent Applications Builder Associate is earned by passing Exam AB-410. Microsoft describes the candidate as a professional who builds solutions with AI capabilities in Microsoft Power Platform using Microsoft Copilot, natural language prompts and low-code tools, creating apps, data models and flows that connect to agents, AI models, prompts and visualizations.
The responsibilities Microsoft lists are developing Dataverse data models, model-driven apps and canvas apps; integrating agents and Copilot features into canvas apps, model-driven apps and Power Pages sites; and creating cloud flows and business logic. The certification is rated Intermediate, tagged for the Developer role, and covers Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages and Microsoft Power Platform.

AB-410 exam status
On 14 October 2026 the Microsoft Learn certification page shows no beta label in its title or heading and no retirement notice, and the exam can be scheduled. Microsoft does not publish a general availability date on the pages we checked.
One sign of how new the exam is: the certification page states that the practice assessment for this exam is not currently available, and that practice assessments are usually available within eight weeks of an exam being out of beta and generally available. The study guide was last updated on 15 May 2026 and shows no change log.

How much does the AB-410 exam cost?
Microsoft does not publish one global price. The certification page states that the price is based on the country or region in which the exam is proctored, and you see the binding figure when you schedule.
Treat any fixed AB-410 price quoted without a Microsoft source as unconfirmed.

AB-410 exam format and passing score
You have 120 minutes. The exam is proctored, and Microsoft notes that you may have interactive components to complete. The number of questions is not published.
A score of 700 or greater is required to pass, according to the AB-410 study guide. It is a scaled score, not a percentage of correct answers.
The exam is offered in 13 languages: English, Arabic (Saudi Arabia), Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), French, German, Indonesian (Indonesia), Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil) and Russian. If your preferred language is not available, you can request an additional 30 minutes. A failed attempt can be retaken after 24 hours; later retakes have varying waiting times.

What is on the AB-410 exam?
The study guide splits AB-410 into three skill areas. Business logic and automation is the largest at 40–45%, so cloud flows, AI Hub prompts and business rules deserve as much time as building the apps themselves.
- Create a foundation for intelligent applications (25–30%) — analysing requirements, evaluating built-in agents, extensibility options, environment types, solution and ALM strategy, Dataverse tables, columns, relationships, prompt columns, row summaries, views, forms and security
- Create intelligent applications (25–30%) — model-driven app forms, views, generative pages, charts and dashboards; canvas apps with accessibility and performance in mind, reusable components and named formulas, variables, error handling, testing with Monitor, creating a Copilot Studio agent from a canvas app
- Build business application logic and automation (40–45%) — cloud flow triggers, connectors, approvals, conditions and loops, troubleshooting; prompts and AI models in AI Hub consumed in apps and flows; business rules, business process flows, calculated, rollup and formula columns

How to prepare for the AB-410 exam
Use the AB-410 study guide on Microsoft Learn as your checklist; it is the authoritative list of skills measured. Because 40–45% of the exam is logic and automation, build real cloud flows and AI Hub prompts in a developer environment rather than only reading about them.
Microsoft’s official course is AB-410T00-A, Build intelligent applications: three days, Intermediate, aimed at people who want to build intelligent applications with Power Platform and are new to using AI, copilots and agents in solution design. Microsoft states you can prepare through instructor-led training or self-paced study.
Since Microsoft’s practice assessment is not available for this exam at the moment, the exam sandbox is the official way to see the interface and question types before exam day.

Validity and the path to Expert
Intelligent Applications Builder Associate is an associate-level certification. Microsoft associate, expert and specialty certifications expire annually and are renewed with a free online assessment on Microsoft Learn, taken in a six-month window before expiry; passing extends the certification by one year.
The certification also counts toward Microsoft Certified: Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect Expert. For that expert credential, Microsoft requires Exam AB-100 plus at least one prerequisite associate certification, and Intelligent Applications Builder Associate is on that list.

AB-410 vs AB-620 (AI Agent Builder Associate)
Both are Intermediate Microsoft associate exams of 120 minutes, and both involve agents, so they are easy to mix up. AB-620 leads to Microsoft Certified: AI Agent Builder Associate and targets professional developers or advanced builders who build, extend and integrate custom agents for enterprise-grade solutions in Copilot Studio.
AB-410 is about the business applications around those agents: Dataverse models, model-driven and canvas apps, Power Pages and cloud flows, with agents and Copilot features integrated into them. If you mostly build apps and automation in Power Platform, AB-410 is the closer match; if agents themselves are your product, look at AB-620.

AB-410 dumps and practice questions
AB-410 dumps are not legitimate preparation. Microsoft defines a brain dump as a source containing fraudulently obtained exam questions and states that using such material to prepare for or during an exam constitutes cheating. Candidates can be permanently banned from future credentials and have certifications and scores revoked.
Certsqill’s AB-410 practice questions are expert-developed and mapped to the three skill areas above. Every answer option comes with an explanation, and your results feed a readiness score per domain, so you can see whether automation and business logic — the largest area — is ready. A 7-day money-back guarantee applies.
