The Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant was renamed on July 24, 2026: it is now the Salesforce Certified Agentforce Sales Consultant, and Salesforce states that the exam content and maintenance did not change. The exam has 60 scored questions in 105 minutes, a 73% passing score in English, a US$200 registration fee and a US$100 retake fee. You need the Salesforce Administrator certification first.

Is the Sales Cloud Consultant certification still available?
Yes, under a new name. Salesforce’s Certification Name Changes FAQ lists the change “Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant” to “Salesforce Certified Agentforce Sales Consultant”, effective July 24, 2026. Salesforce says the names were updated to align with current product offerings that feature Agentforce technology.
Nothing else moved with the name. Salesforce states that the change does not affect the underlying exam content or the annual maintenance requirements. If you already hold the certification you do not need to re-earn it; your Trailblazer profile shows the new name automatically.
The certification is also not on the list of 24 credentials Salesforce will retire on February 1, 2027. When you search for the exam or register for it, look for the Agentforce Sales Consultant name; the old Trailhead credential address now opens the renamed credential.

What is the Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant certification?
The Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant certification is aimed at consultants who design and deploy Sales Cloud solutions. The exam guide describes the candidate as someone who designs and deploys solutions that support customer business processes and requirements using Salesforce applications, with 1+ years of experience using Salesforce, working with sales processes and developing business solutions.
It is a consultant credential, not an administrator one: the questions are less about where a setting lives and more about which solution fits a customer’s sales process, how to run discovery, and how to plan data and security for it.

How much does the Sales Cloud Consultant certification cost?
The registration fee is US$200 (JPY¥30,000), plus applicable taxes as required by local law. A retake costs US$100 (JPY¥15,000) plus taxes.
Because the Salesforce Administrator certification is a prerequisite, add that exam to your budget if you do not hold it yet. Maintenance is done by completing a Trailhead module each year; the exam guide names no separate recertification fee.

Salesforce certified Sales Cloud Consultant exam format and passing score
The Salesforce certified Sales Cloud Consultant exam has 60 multiple-choice questions plus up to five unscored questions, and you have 105 minutes. You cannot tell which items are unscored, so answer every question as if it counts.
The passing score is 73% for the English version and 69% for the Japanese version.
The exam is proctored, either onsite at a testing center or online. No hard-copy or online materials may be referenced during the exam. According to the guide, the questions align to the Summer ’25 release.

What is on the exam? The five outline sections
Salesforce publishes the exam outline with five weighted sections. Consulting and implementation strategies is the largest at 25% — it covers discovery workshops, analysing requirements, defining solutions and prioritising use cases, plus project delivery. The practical application section (24%) asks you to choose, for example, the right security model for a set of business requirements, or when declarative development should be extended with custom development.
The sales lifecycle section includes turning business outcomes and sales KPIs into reports and dashboards. Data management covers data migrations, integrations and sales data quality. The AI section covers Salesforce’s Trusted AI Principles in sales scenarios and the generative AI tools available in Agentforce Sales.

Prerequisites for the Sales Cloud Consultant certification
The exam guide lists one prerequisite: the Salesforce Administrator certification. You need to hold it before the consultant credential is awarded, so most candidates take the Administrator exam first.
Beyond that, Salesforce describes the expected background rather than requiring it: 1+ years of experience using Salesforce, working with sales processes and developing business solutions.

Sales Cloud Consultant study guide, training and prep
The exam guide is your official study guide: it lists every objective under the five sections. For preparation, Salesforce recommends a combination of hands-on experience, training and self-study, and points to the Trailhead Trailmix “Prepare for your Salesforce Agentforce Sales Consultant Certification”.
For instructor-led training, the guide names two Trailhead Academy courses: Essentials for New Lightning Experience Administrators (ADX201) and Administer, Extend, and Automate Salesforce (ADX211).
Work in a practice org while you study. Many objectives start with “given a scenario” or “given a set of business requirements”, which rewards people who have actually configured Sales Cloud for a sales process.

Sales Cloud Consultant dumps and the Salesforce Code of Conduct
Salesforce’s Credentialing and Certification Program Agreement and Code of Conduct states that all exam questions and answers are Salesforce’s property and prohibits sharing, using or selling exam content in any format, including content you memorise. It explicitly covers exam content people find online, in shared documents, discussion groups and forums.
So Sales Cloud Consultant dumps are not a shortcut: using them breaks the agreement you accept to take the exam. The consequences Salesforce lists include revocation of earned certifications, suspension from all certification exams for 90 days or more, and removal from Salesforce’s credential programs. A revoked certification cannot be earned again unless Salesforce says otherwise.

How do you maintain the certification?
You keep the certification by completing the Agentforce Sales Consultant maintenance badge on Trailhead once a year. If you miss the due date, the certification expires.

Sales Cloud Consultant vs Service Cloud Consultant
The service-side credential is now called the Salesforce Certified Agentforce Service Consultant. On paper the format is identical — 60 scored questions, 105 minutes, US$200 and the Platform Administrator certification as prerequisite — but the passing score is higher at 78%, and the guide expects 2 to 5 years of professional experience.
The content splits along the product line: the service exam spreads over eight sections such as knowledge management, case management and contact center analytics, while the sales exam focuses on the sales lifecycle, consulting strategies and sales data. Pick the one that matches the projects you deliver.
