CIS-ITSM stands for Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management. It is one of ServiceNow’s implementation specialist certifications, issued through ServiceNow University. As the name says, it is about implementation: setting up ServiceNow ITSM so that an organisation can run its service management processes on it.
ServiceNow describes the exam as confirming that you can configure, implement and maintain the ServiceNow ITSM applications. Passing it awards the CIS-ITSM certification together with a Credly digital badge that you can share online.

ServiceNow’s certification page names the core areas the exam covers. They correspond to the processes an ITSM implementation has to get right from day one:

ServiceNow publishes the details for this exam in the IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM) Mainline Blueprint on ServiceNow University. That page only renders after sign-in, so we could not verify the fee, number of questions, time limit, passing score or domain weighting from a public source, and this page does not state them.
Before you book, open the blueprint in your ServiceNow University account and note four things: the domain weighting, the number of questions and time limit, the release the exam is written against, and any required course. Numbers quoted on third-party sites may refer to an older release.

How to register for the CIS-ITSM exam
Registration runs through ServiceNow University. The CIS-ITSM certification page links directly to “Register for Exam”, and to ServiceNow’s Credentialing Program Guide.
Because the exam is proctored, read the proctoring rules shown at registration in advance, and book with enough buffer before a project deadline that a retake would still fit.

The public certification page does not list prerequisites. Whether a ServiceNow course or another certification is required before registration is stated on the registration page and in the blueprint inside ServiceNow University — check both there instead of relying on second-hand summaries.

How to prepare for the CIS-ITSM exam
Prepare in an instance, not from slides. For each area the exam names, do the configuration yourself: build an incident form and assignment rules, run a problem from detection to known error, create change models and approvals, publish catalog items with variables and fulfilment flows, and relate configuration items in the CMDB to the incidents and changes that touch them.
Then work through the blueprint line by line and mark each topic as done only when you could configure it again without notes. An implementation specialist exam rewards knowing which setting achieves a given outcome, and that comes from having changed the setting and seen the result.
CIS-ITSM practice test and exam dumps
A good CIS-ITSM practice test is written against the current blueprint and explains why each option is right or wrong. That is what turns a wrong answer into a configuration detail you will remember in the exam.
Exam dumps are a different matter. They are no reliable way to prepare: you cannot tell which release they come from or whether the answers are correct, and they teach recognition instead of implementation skill. Check ServiceNow University’s exam policies before using any third-party material.
